We came to the Branding Iron at the recommendation of a stranger we had met at another nearby restaurant. We had planned on a different dinner experience, but fate had other plans, as the kitchen was backed up at our first option and, in discussing how we didn't want to overload the staff anymore than they already were, our catalyst friend encouraged us to try Branding Iron instead. Really good food, staff and atmosphere. I had one of their amazing burgers and sweet potato fries. The sweet dipping sauce with those fries was absolutely amazing. The poutine was really freaking tasty as well. The only knock is they sat us by the garage door windows and the breeze coming through then was so cold that we all had to keep our coats on while we ate. But, that wasn't enough to remove any stars. My water glass stayed full and we got way more food than expected. I highly recommend and cannot wait to go back and eat there the next time I'm back in Casper.

Five stars for the Branding Iron, and I don’t hand those out like cowboy candy. If you ain’t been, saddle up and go. Tell ’em the hungry ranch hand sent ya. Rolled in hungry enough to eat a fence post, rolled out happier than taking the table at a Texas Hold 'Em tournament. That Milwaukee burger? A masterpiece in beef stacked high, juicy as a summer rain, and cooked so perfect I nearly tipped my hat to the grill itself. Very cool spot with great food. For me the poutine was the star of the show. With seasoned curly fries? What was i eating before? Bison tortellini was good and fried green tomatoes with a dill spread, very nice. Great service and atmosphere definitely a cool road trip spot.
