(Take Out) State side Chinese food should have a balance of fresh ingredients; sweet, sour, salty, and spicy, but my Kung Pao Chicken had no “harmony”, a straight-line flavor without aromatics as mince garlic, ginger, and heavy with cornstarch. We also had Beef & Broccoli, Hot & Sour soup, that was ok, and order of Ginger Beef but we got I believe to be chicken in a sweet sauce and not too savory. I spoke to the lady behind the counter prior to leaving and she said they have been in business for 31 years.

Hard-working staff! Fast wok fry clanging action from back kitchen. Fresh crisp broccoli after searing wok fry. Fresh cut, steaming beef stir fry. Honest Americanized Chinese takeout prepared hot and fresh! Solid food prices! Very clean eating area. Self-serve water station. Self-serve sauce packets. On the surface this is a throwback old school American Chinese takeout complete with Moo Goo Gai Pan which btw is an underrated classic. I mean it just tastes very simple but also has flavor. But ever notice those wood tile tags in Chinese on the wall posing as decor to the unbeknownst. That’s the “secret” “hidden” menu. Asking about it unlocks a photo book of what “they” would eat. More greens and veggie choices, fried fish. One of the workers is also the stereotype service giver meaning they are not “friendly”, not helpful or generous. They are all business and give you what you ask for and

China Cafe frequently updates its menu and offers affordable prices. We often dine in or order takeout, and the staff are always very friendly and polite. There is a wide variety of dishes, and the flavors are very popular. The restaurant is kept clean and tidy, the dining environment is comfortable, and it is very well liked!
