We ordered through DoorDash and were glad to support this business after hearing their story in the news. The food arrived nice and hot. These patties taste better than many so-called Caribbean restaurants in Philadelphia—this NE Philly spot is better than Ron’s, Top Taste, Quality Taste and even Jamaican D’s (which is currently closed). The coco bread was $3.50, patties $4, and worth every dollar. I wanna try the jerk chicken, pork, oxtail ASAP. My wife is Caribbean and said it tasted like home. Hands down the best patties we’ve had. Top-tier flavor—highly recommend.

Well, this place is not extravagant is not fancy BUT it carries so much flavor. We bought the jerk chicken, it you cant handle spicy food( like me), grab your cup of milk. We wasn't expecting the level of spiciness but it was good punch. My favorite items was the oxtail, flavorful, falling of the bone, juicy, well seasoned. The rice had a sweetness that I couldn't identify but it was a good balance for the spicy chicken. Parking is awful. Is very close to an intersection and difficult to find a spot. I had breakfast. Back home it would be called run-a-boat. Ackee and salt with boiled dumplings yellow yam and banana. "The green bananas WOW" There was other dishes to choose from but that's what I wanted. every bite gave a taste of Jamaica. I've tried other Jamaican restaurants within a two block radius and it's honestly safe to say Shana's Caribbean Cafe brings me home to that authentic flavorful TRUE taste of Jamaican cuisine. I'm going back this morning for breakfast and whenever I try her Red Peas cow skin/beef soup I'll be sure to come back here to let you know.

The Oxtail and Jerk chicken was really tender and juicy, and full of flavor. The Mac & Cheese was a 6 out of 10 the cabbage had a good texture, but very salty. Rice & Beans was cooked soft with a sweet hint to it. My only complaint is, I ordered a Large Oxtail and it only came with 6 pieces of Oxtail come one throw in some smaller pieces. Overall I’d rate this place a 6 out of 10.
