Had a fantastic time at Viaggio. My pictures don’t do the food justice. I had the meatball salad and rigatoni with vodka with crumpled sausage and both were delicious. Nothing felt heavy or bloated with oil, which is my common gripe with Italian. Even better than the food was the company and service. Felt right at home at the bar having conversations with strangers. I will definitely be back!

What’s good? The food! Old school Italian entrees in a fast paced, vibrant atmosphere. This place is not trying to redo Italian, it makes good Italian food. Great first Alston in West Loop. It was full but not crowded and the there were all types of people—big parties, young, old, people on a date, family. Bread service free, a long wine by the glass list—thank you, plenty of apps, sides and the entrees you want to see.

WOW WOW WOW! We planned this trip around coming to Viaggio’s. I’ve been dying to try the place out so flew all the way from Texas and it did NOT disappoint! This was the BEST Italian food we have ever had! Everything we tried was INCREDIBLE! Dave is such a wonderful down to earth human! He is amazing and if anyone deserves business it is Viaggio’s! Went here for my birthday dinner, and the food was very good, but the service was excellent and attentive (especially the waiter bringing the drinks). The portion sizes are not the biggest for an Italian Restaurant given that the price of the food is between 25.00 to 45.00 a plate, but the food is freshly prepared, made to order with great presentation. My appetizer was the Meatball Salad (a must get item), and my dish was the Shrimp Scampi with added mushrooms which was an amazing dish. My family all got Fettuccine Alfredo with either shrimp or chicken which was also amazing. My suggestion is
