Absolutely phenomenal place. We visited last week from out of town. Fat Peach has been on our radar for a long time and it did not disappoint. You can taste the quality in every bite and tell that the product is crafted with extreme thought and creativity. I loved the strawberry milk croissant and the fried rice croissant . I wish I could’ve tried one of everything but guess I’ll just have to come back to Chicago.

One of Chicago’s best bakeries! This Mexico City-inspired bakery is owned by a young couple, and the workers here are the sweetest. The outside is super unassuming, but as soon as you enter, you can feel the warmth and love from this cute space. Their pastry display is gorgeous, and everything tasted as great as they looked. I arrived right before opening on a Thursday morning and was the first in the door! I was super excited to try this place and even more excited to see there wasnt a line when we came at 10 am on a Sunday. I think the pastries were good but not great. Definitely a bigger focus on the toppings and fillings than the pastry itself. Also a bit on the pricy side but this is to be expected with fancy pastries in Chicago! I think it was great to try but not sure if it’s affordable to go consistently

Insanely good. I’m a pastry chef in Chicago so I like to try different bakeries and pick apart and assess their products, which is why I visited Fat Peach. I got 6 items; Calamansi pistachio pastry, guava custard pastry, blueberry cheesecake pastry, chocolate croissant, ham and cheese croissant and their strawberry croissant. Everything was extremely well made, the lamination was done very well. The fillings tasted and looked all house made with fresh fruits for the guava and blueberry.
