Michael Roberts★★★★While visiting Chico, my brother made reservations at Red Tavern for an enjoyable evening of Spanish Dancing. Though they offer indoor dining, the dancing was outside on the patio. Red Tavern focuss was the dancers and musicians. Though a little spendy, both the food and entertainment was delightful. The Spanish dancers and musicians created a magical evening of enjoyment. Because of the focus on the entertainment, it seems the restaurant was not in tune with family style service. It was a bit clumsy.

First they lost our reservationwe made a week or two prior for a party of eight. They ended up making room for us though. We ordered our food and it took a lenghthy time to get our meals which tasted like Sisco food, for a fancy restaurant that is bad but for a low end restaurant that is fine. When i got my meal it was the worst gnocchi I have ever had. The gnocchi was mushy and flavorless along with the sauce and then the meat that was with it was extremely salty to a dis
B Miichi★The food is just alright but the service is really terrible. We got two entrees and 1 appetizer (0 drinks) was $100. It was our first time and maybe we had high expectations but it got shut down almost immediately. If you order the steak I would recommend removing the sauce.
Mary P★★★★★Good food and cozy atmosphere! Located in the heart of chico is this unpretentious building where the Red Tavern is located. They open at 430pm and happy hour specials are available until 6pm. The place is somewhat small but they were packed by 530 pm today (december 20). We ordered the 10 ounce steak and the 11 dollar happy hour shrimp. The shrimp was awesome with butter and garlic. We split the steak but it was too rare for me. Dessert was a eggnog cheesecake which was delicious! Shae (our waitress) was friendly and attentive. The owner came by a few times to check on us which i thoug
