Recently visited for an early evening dinner with reservation. We were checked in and seated very quickly. The team is very attentive and helpful with food and drink suggestions. We had the Tawle menu with us $95 per person in which you receive an assortment of dishes. Everything we tasted was incredible. The food here is amazing so well flavored with great portions. Really enjoyed our experience and would definitely come back when in DC. This was the first Michelin rated restaurant I had gone to, and the food exceeded expectations. It was presented well and came out in courses, which made it fun and exciting. The drinks were also unique and one of our servers gave great pairing suggestions. The atmosphere was really unique, though I wish we had been given the chance to sit closer to where the fire was, as that is why we originally booked here vs other places. The vibe of the restaurant was wonderful, cozy and very aesthetic. My boyfriend and I were impressed by the place and how much thought was put into the decor. The music was moderately loud but we had no issue having a conversation without shouting. Service was excellent and our waiter was very attentive. We decided to go with the à la carte option as we thought the tawle ($95 per person) would be too expensive and too much food. We had the 7-course chef-curated meal, "The Tawle," at Maydan. It was a massive, delicious feast featuring mezze, three incredible spreads, a vegetable dish, a salad, a kebab, a main center plate, and a dessert. The food was both bountiful and absolutely amazing—honestly, I really hope they get their Michelin star back soon!
