Vertical is a great local coffee shop with prices comparable to other spots in town. It tends to be loud and a bit crowded inside during peak hours due to the small space, which doesn't make it ideal for working on anything at those times. I have no complaints about the coffee though, and the fact that they have a Little Free Library out front is a huge plus!

Wow! What a shining star! I want to highlight the decor first: The exterior is exquisitely crafted rustic looking hand carved wood with large picture windows that frame the gorgeous chandeliers, velvet upholstery and marble table tops. The staff was genuinely warm and welcoming and very knowledgeable about the coffee and could speak to the history of the business and the trends in coffee purchases. Amazing place. They have a really cool deal for locals where you can buy a refillable mug for the whole year to get free refills. For regular coffee drinkers it is an amazing savings. Also the regulars are really amazing.
