I went out on a limb and decided to try this wonderful little restaurant in Sterling as I had heard good things about it but hadn’t had a chance to try. The menu, although on the small side, had a nice array of options to choose from. I chose the chef special of the day which was halibut on a bed of some veggies with a lemon sauce and drizzled in oil. Our server, Michael, did not steer me wrong! It was absolutely delicious. The fish was juicy but not overdone and the seasoning was rather simple on it which allowed me to dip it in the lemon sauce at the bottom of the plate without it being over

Elsa provided great service & suggestions on dishes for us to try for lunch. It was the 1st visit for all 5 of us. The round table in the corner was perfect as we experienced all dishes family style. Our 2 pasta mains & 4 appetizers were all delicious. We especially loved the seasonal appetizer (butternut squash bruschetta not pictured) for the flavour, colour & texture. The breads with the appetizers were fresh. The drinks - blackberry fizz, lemon nojito, iced tea - were refreshing. Thanks for helping us celebrate 2 birthdays. We will return.

Celebrated a birthday at Local Provisions and it was a great experience from start to finish. The space feels modern but comfortable, with plenty of room for groups and a lively but not overwhelming atmosphere.
