I’m kicking myself for not coming here sooner! The area so needed a place like this. “Elevated scratch kitchen sports tavern” as others have described is accurate. It was really busy at 6 on a Friday as one would expect, and they were a little short-handed, but didn’t miss a beat. It’s a sports bar vibe in terms of noise and lots of TV’s, so if you’re looking for a quiet dinner, this is not the spot, but it’s a fun vibe! The food and the service were awesome! Our waiter was fantastic and the manager stopped by to check in. The menu is unique, and the food is fresh, delicious and well priced.

Heard from a friend that I must check out Tavern 242 because they loved it so much. And today was the day! My friend and I were blown away with the excellent service, food and atmosphere. We decided to share everything we ordered. We began with drinks - the Pear & Proper, the ‘FED’ and Athletic Golden (NA). All were fabulous. Next the Deviled Eggs, wonderful. After looking at the online menu, we were excited to try a new place close to home for dinner. We settled on desserts to test it out. The Chocolate Chip/Macadamia nut cookie and a Carrot Cake, which were not worth the price unfortunately. We were expecting a 6" cookie, but it was probably more like 4" and it was burned pretty bad. Maybe they hoped the ice cream would soften it up, I'm not sure. The carrot cake was a small and cold piece, I guess I was expecting a warm cake, so thats on me. My husband and I wanted to grab some food after a hike at Red Rocks, this restaurant was open and looked good-they were incredibly nice and took us late. I thought the bartender owned the place the way he treated people. He was so thoughtful. Burger was 10 out of 10. Mac and cheese was homemade. Great little spot.
