We’ve been trying to get into Truly Pizza in Dana Point for a while now, but reservations are very hard to come by. Since we were in the area, we decided to try a walk-in. The wait was about an hour, but it was completely worth it. We ordered the Truly White, Ciccio, and chicken wings. Everything was excellent. The pizzas stood out the most—crispy, flavorful crust with high-quality toppings and great balance in every bite. The wings were also well-prepared, crispy on the outside and juicy inside. Today, I finally visited the world-famous Truly Pizza. As soon as I arrived, I put my name on the waiting list, and they told me it would be a two-hour wait. ​Since I was already in Dana Point, I decided to make the most of the time. Visited with my family this weekend after trying several famous pizza spots in New York last week. The weather and atmosphere were great, but the pizza itself didn’t really live up to the hype for us. The crust and overall flavor were just average in our opinion, and the salad was okay as well. Maybe our expectations were too high, but overall it wasn’t worth the 1hour + wait for walk-in and to-go orders. Not bad, just not something our family would wait that long for again.
