Flatiron Kitchen & Taphouse is one of my favorite spots in Davidson. The vibe is cozy but still feels a little elevated, and you can tell the food is made with real care. Everything that comes off their wood-fired grill has amazing flavor, and the seasonal dishes are always fun to try. Their wine, beer, and bourbon selection is great too — you can tell they actually put thought into it. Looking for a place to eat while bringing our dog on our daughters Spring break we ran across this place. Even sitting on the sidewalk because we had our dog with us the service was excellent. We made reservations to ensure we had seating on a beautiful Saturday evening. We had our dog with us and were welcomed with a bowl of water for her in the outside seating area. The staff loved on her in between taking our orders and bringing our food. Drinks were good. I had the espresso martini special and he had a Tom Collins. His first drink was pretty weak so second was a double and much better. Pretzel bites for an appetizer. They were hot and yummy. Food was good. I had the chicken breast and he had the steak frites.
