So we were driving by this strip mall and noticed this small sushi place we'd never seen before. We looked it up on Yelp to see what people were saying and kind of knew what to expect. But when we got there, we noticed some of the food pictures we saw on Yelp weren't on their menu anymore. The waitress told us those were probably from the old owner. That was a little disappointing because we were hoping they had Katsu and grilled squid, but they don't. Their menu's actually pretty small, just a few appetizers, sushi, sashimi, and rolls. The positives are that the portions are large, including sashimi. I found the handcrolls sort of thrown together, same for the specialty rolls. Flavor is ok but nothing special. Tasted some sweetness in sauces which was not helping the rolls.

Inconspicuous, yet amazing! The sushi and sashimi here is to die for. Nice, high quality pieces of fish that will not disappoint. The yellowtail and salmon nigiri were butter on the tongue, while the baked green muscles were creamy and delicious. The mixed sashimi dish had nice portions that will fill even the hardier appetite. Hands down one of the best sushi restaurants in north Phoenix.

What I ordered: Shrimp Tempura Roll Octopus Nigiri Shrimp Shumai Went here with my friend today because she loves the spot and I was hesitant at first due to the reviews and photos, but let me tell you this place is a hidden gem. That was some of the best shrimp tempura I’ve ever had as well as my octopus was cold and thick and they have real wasabi as a open so nice for such a cheap price
