We love The Bearded Monk! I am not a beer person, which I know is crazy because they truly have so many different beer options, but their cocktails are some of my favorite in Downtown Denton! The Monk is my go to (I literally find myself thinking about this drink sometimes, it's that good), followed by the Denton Yapper. Their Green Tea and Dragon's Blood shots are also fantastic! The bartenders have been so helpful and fun each time we've been and we love the overall atmosphere. Everyone is always just having a good time and enjoying themselves! Great for a small group, and a perfect lgbtq+ friendly lounge. It's an open floorplan and I didnt see live music or live music, but I know on some nights there are events with bigger turn outs. There is a spacious outdoor area with bar tops and stools, as well as picnic tables. It's dog friendly which is a huge plus for my gf and I, and they offer non-alcoholic and thc drinks as well.

Incredible queer bar in Denton that serves awesome drinks varied between lots of different beers, wines, THCA non-alcoholic options, caffiene, and sodas! I LOVE THE BEARDED MONK! They have amazing events, you should come to the The SlideShow every end-of-the-month, and there's often many community events happening here and parties every weekend with different cool themes.
