Had a wonderful lunch at Tandoori Restaurant today. We ordered the mutton biryani and palak chicken, and both dishes were excellent. The mutton biryani was flavorful, aromatic, and perfectly cooked, while the palak chicken was rich, delicious, and well-seasoned. The food was fresh, the portions were generous, and the overall dining experience was very enjoyable. Highly recommended for anyone looking for authentic and tasty South Asian cuisine. It is a small short-staffed restaurant with good food options. The food (on the spicier side) is served in good portions accounting for the price (desserts not recommended). The decor is nice and the staff accomodates customers amicably, despite the rude (and occasionally dicriminative) customers it attracts at times which it has no control over or the people leaving reviews online.

Tried a chickpea dish, veggie samosas, garlic naan and the chicken wrap earlier in the week. First time trying this restaurant. It was so flavorful and not the typical white people food I normally get to eat that now tastes very bland in comparison. Long story short, I went back today and ordered twice as much so I can nosh on it all weekend. The portions are great for the price and you can tell the quality is exemplary. I love desi food and have been eating at Tandoori in Des Plaines for years. Overtime there are things that have become disappointing. For one thing the food has become too spicy, and I can handle spicy food, but this is my 2nd or 3rd recent order where they made it too spicy, hard to eat without multiple cups of water. All that water after a meal will give most people a stomach ache! I have told them about it and they just laugh and say "sorry ma'am." They need to learn how to make their marinade mild and then only add extra chili/red pepper after someone asks to make it spicy. Spicy f
