If you can survive the construction maze at the end of Columbia, consider it your rite of passage to shawarma heaven. Bucharest Grill (aka “Book Arrest” if autocorrect is feeling spicy) is tucked at the end of a road that’s currently playing hard to get with all the detours but don’t let that scare you off. There’s a big parking lot. Inside, it’s open and airy with high ceilings and plenty of seating. There’s even a dedicated DoorDash pickup window, which tells you they mean business. Service? First time here visiting, and my brother bought me here to try the food. Everything was good. The meal had a good side portion. Had a little bit of a wait, but that was OK because it seemed to be fresher. everything I ordered was very tasty. The atmosphere was nice. I only gave it a three because I'm not a drinker and they had a bar. so if you're a drinker, you might like it better. I definitely would return here next time. I'm in town.

Cool spot, excellent service. Unfortunately the chicken shawarma while mighty in size and fully packed, it was a little salty, so not sure if it was one off. But the staff made the experience better for sure. Friendly bar tenders and they have great drink specials and reasonable prices for Detroit.

We stopped in here while walking over to the Tigers game. I wanted something small so I ordered a Shawarma stick and it was huge! It was one of the cheaper items on the menu but it was more than enough for a meal. It was so good!
