Getaway is a hidden gem that'd be easy to miss while driving by. They've got some of the best breakfast sandwiches I've ever had. Cafeteria style serving at lunch (with an impressive variety each day and a different menu for each day of the week). If you're looking for a meat and two-side option for lunch, you'd be hard-pressed to find better value anywhere. The proprietors are friendly, the dining area is kept clean, and I've experienced consistently good food and service for years.

Never eaten here before, and when I saw it on DoorDash (with a breakfast frame of mind), decided to give it a try. Ordered the Getaway Breakfast sandwich on Texas toast, with sides of cheese grits, biscuit & gravy, and hash browns. Order arrived quickly, complete/correct and packaged well for delivery. The sandwich was delicious. Texas toast was done perfectly and all the ingredients blended very well together. No one flavor dominated. The cheese grits were delicious as well, not “watery” like some other places, and had ample cheese. The hash browns had a nice crispy coating but were not dry
