4.5/5 for food. This will always be one of my top spots in DC! The blend of Peruvian cuisine using Japanese and Chinese methods and elements is something you would not expect, but turns out to be incredible. Star dishes are the ceviche nikkei, lomo saltado, and tallarín saltado de verduras. All of their pisco sours are incredible as well. We also had the suspiro limeña for dessert and I loved it. Very fresh, sour and not too sweet. Feels more like a fresh fruit than a dessert. Prices may seem a little on the higher side, but the quality of the food you are getting is top notch. 100% worth it.

I had no idea there was another José Andres spot in a two block radius - and it was worth the visit! Our server was attentive and made a great recommendation on the cauliflower when we decided to get another dish. We especially loved the ceviche Nikkei - great flavor and texture. The Hong Kong rich noodle dish was so so compared to the rest. And the dessert - yum! Tasted like caramel with passion fruit ice on top. The decor / ambiance is both modern and also low key - they have metal chairs, and funky lights. It doesn’t have the higher end feel — if that’s what you want, try Zaytinya.

Fifty minutes for an entree at lunch. We came in for lunch at 1:15pm really excited for the lunch special and a new cuisine. All the tables seated around us go their food before us. One didn’t even arrive until after we ordered and they were finished before our food arrived. The service was incredibly terrible. The manager came out 2 times to apologize but just said “we know it doesn’t change anything but sorry we were busy” not a great way to treat a customer. A free drink, dessert, discount, or coupon for a future meal would have gone a long way. The food was INCREDIBLE tender, flavorful, a

Food is definitely different than anything I've ever had. We left it up to the chef to decide our courses. The ceviches were flavorful. Portions are smaller than expected, but they give you a few dishes, so it ends up working out great. You can tell the ingredients are top notch! The chocolate mousse dessert with banana ice cream is amazing!! The other one they gave us is a guava tart dessert. Both are decadent. The lighting in here is not great. All the photos came out the same color, lol. Staff is super friendly and helpful. It was a bit more than we wanted to spend, but worth it.
