This little hole in the wall restaurant is located in the Sweetwater district of East Florence. Despite it's humble appearance, they're serving up a grand delicious homemade breakfast and some of the best burgers around on the inside. Staggs is open early for breakfast and serves lunch until 2 pm. It's iconic and has been a staple in Florence for as long as I can remember. The chocolate gravy served on Fridays brings me back to my childhood. It's just as my great-grandmother made it. Stop by Monday through Friday. You won't be disappointed.

I have heard nothing but rave reviews for the burgers here and that you were missing out if you had not been here. Today my husband and I had the opportunity to stop in for lunch and we both had the burger. The meat was extremely disappointing. While you received a generous portion of meat, it had ZERO taste or flavor. Not a hint of salt, pepper, nothing. Thankfully my burger had two big slices of tomato that were fresh and had flavor. The fries were crinkle cut, which is a favorite, but also zero seasoning. There are plenty of other places than this one to stop in and get a good burger.

Got the small cheeseburger and it is a hand patted patty of good size. Others in our party ordered the double and it is BIG. another ordered the hamburger steak and its a hardy portion. Dineing area is small and parking is limited.
