i had heard a lot about this restaurant and was nervous that it was overhyped, but i actually had a great time here. casual space to catch up with friends, service was kind and attentive, every dish had matched or exceeded my expectations, and they didn't make a fuss over my friend coming late or us staying past the 90min mark as advertised. ordered the corn dumplings, oxtail spring rolls, berkshire ribs, and yellowfin crudo. the crudo was much smaller than expected but overall everything tasted good. we were skeptical of the corn dumplings since we're asian, but they ended up being our favor

Chefs at Mokyo know what they are doing. I never had Korean tapas before but I am a huge fan now. While I am not Korean, I usually hold Korean food to a high standard because I grew up in a Korean neighborhood and many of my friends were Korean, so I was constantly surrounded by — and eating — authentic cuisine. While this spot isn’t traditional, it’s absolutely worth trying. The food and service are both incredible. This place is super impressive and makes for a great experience, especially for a date night or a dinner with a friend. I wouldn’t recommend it for parties larger than two, thou

Mokyo is a very unique place. Every dish is a unique invention and all of it just tastes good. I haven’t had something I didn’t like and all dishes are significantly different from each other. This is the sister restaurant to Thursday Kitchen and the concept is pretty similar. Innovative dishes that represent a fusion between Korean food to everything else in the world. The main difference between Mokyo and Thursday kitchen is that Mokyo is the upscale version and you need a reservation, it is not a walk-in place. Notice that portions are pretty small and the prices are slightly expensive fo

As an avid Korean food enjoyer blessed with easy access to Northern Blvd, it is to my oversight that I came with the expectation for Korean food tonight. Instead, I got truffle oil gnocchi (best dish of the night), chili with rice cake (3piece of rice cakes), bbq ribs (ribs did not fall off the bone), and a clam chowder with scallop that looks pan seared by actually just chewy. It’s not you, it’s me. I’ll try to book Moono earlier or stick to outerboro Korean food.
