Small but mighty! It's a tiny place - I think 5 tables. And they are occupied. I had never had a huarache - a large corn tortillas stuffed with black beans. I chose chicken tinga as my topping which was juicy and flavorful. There are many options including nopales, carnitas, and huilacoche (very tasty). They have a big menu too. A little gem in Edgewater.

Huaraches are huge and not bad, I thought the beans layer in it was a little dry. We had asada and al pastor as toppings, I found pastor to be way too sweet, and asada was just medium. I gotta admit for the price it’s a ginormous meal that will fill you up for sure. They have about 5 tables inside, it has that family run restaurant vibe which was nice but the air inside the restaurant smelled like frying oil very strongly and after dining in there our clothes and hair smelled like that which wasn’t pleasant.

I was trying to find a nice Huarache and Mexican dishes place and we found it. In mexico we normally do this kind of food on weekends and the best thing is they do the size of the Huaraches so huge that one is enough for your hungry. We tried the Asada, the chicken tinga and the Nopales ones, and they were so freshly made that we will return of course again. Here the secret is the dough they use to make the big tortilla wich is very fresh and done from at the moment, and it has smashed beans in the middle. So tasty so good that we will return.
