this place instantly made an impression on me. It’s incredibly cozy and full of character, the kind of spot where you actually want to slow down, sit for a while, and enjoy the moment. the coffee was really good, smooth, flavorful, and clearly made with care. you can tell they take their craft seriously. the atmosphere feels warm and welcoming, not rushed or pretentious, which is something I really appreciated. if I lived in Chicago, this would 100% be my go-to coffee spot. great coffee, relaxed vibe, and a space that makes you want to come back again.

Amazing coffee. Friendly and helpful staff. Great atmosphere. Mediocre pastries. The so-called almond croissant is a soft, cake-like, malformed, too-sweet mess. Real croissants have crisp, flaky layers. Please change bakeries.

Went to Metropolis for the first time with a few friends. I had an everything bagel with cream cheese and a hot mocha. I had to cut the bagel myself, but that's okay. The mocha was delicious! A friend had and said the same bAll the drinks I saw looked perfect and so good! Will definitely come back.
