My wife and I had heard great things about Trattoria Positano as a local spot for Italian food, and it absolutely lived up to the reputation. From the moment we walked in, we were warmly greeted and promptly seated. The staff was attentive and welcoming, offering helpful menu recommendations that made choosing our meal easy. Service was decent and atmosphere was nice. The food was just plain bad. Don’t trust the good reviews. We started out being served obviously from-frozen bread rolls and it only went downhill from there. Crab cakes were also obviously from frozen and the fish and steak was flavorless. The vegetables were the saving grace of each dish as they were the only thing on the plate that had flavor. Expensive too. Don’t waste your money.

Really enjoyable, old school Italian place with a great, low-key atmosphere. Fresh tasting food without too much fanfare, which is a nice change of pace. Pasta was perfectly chewy, fish properly cooked and the sauces were just right. Highly recommended.
