Are you familiar with the Yardy rum bar? We had the pleasure of dining there and I must say, both the cuisine and atmosphere were exceptional. It is clear why they rank among the top 30 in the nation. I had the opportunity to converse with the owner and chef, Isaiah, which was a delightful experience. His James Beard Award is certainly well-deserved. If you have not yet visited, I highly recommend it. Stay beautiful, Lane County.

I grew up in Eugene in the 70s and 80s There wasn’t a lot of great food choices. Now when I come home I get to come to places like Yardys. Absolutely amazing experience. The food was really flavorful and unique. Drinks and rum flight? So so good! We got to meet Chef Isaiah and what an honor. Everone was so nice. If you haven’t noticed Eugene is trying to be something better and succeeding thanks to the wonderful experience at Yardys. More of this.

I will apologize up front that I didn’t take any pictures. I met friends for dinner last night and was blown away by the whole experience. The food wow!! My friends ordered a few appetizers so when I sat down there was this potato salad that I actually think I could live on the rest of my life.
