What can I say? We got combo meals today, and there's enough food for about 3 meals for each of us! And it's so delicious! We LOVE the taste of their BBQ sauce--reminds me of Kansas City-type sauce, a little sweet, just like I like it. The Mutt and the Chicago Combo were our choices for a memorable meal today. Carmen took my order and was so gracious & kind, it was a pleasure to get food there. Parking is on the street, but there are some 15 minute spots available on Green Bay and on Emerson, so that was no problem. If you're hungry, go no further than Hecky's!!!

Always passed by this place, it's easy to miss as you drive because it's on the corner while you are making a turn. Finally, I tried this place, and damn, it was hit. Got thr Chicago combo, really smokey and tender rib tips with pork hot link. True chicago style, and the sauce was not overpowering. Pulled pork sandwich was soft, juicy and tender, nice touch with brioche bun, that buttery sweet bun complementary to savory bbq sauced pulled pork. And the potato salad was a hit too. Great local BBQ spot! The sauce is incredible and ties everything together. Their rib tips are tasty but not smoked as long, which makes the meat tougher/chewier and doesn’t allow the fat to render (bigger chunks of fat). This could be a personal preference. The hot links are delicious and the fries are exceptional - the seasoning is perfect! Caramel cake is homemade and is perfectly moist. The caramel is a little gritty and I’d love a little more tackiness but has a nice flavor
