I’ve eaten at Black Bear Diners before and usually have a great experience, so I was disappointed with the Fairfield location on this visit. I ordered a Benedict dish and substituted the sausage for chicken sausage, plus hash browns and fruit. Unfortunately, the chicken sausage tasted burnt and was tough to get through, and the hollandaise sauce tasted stale, almost like it had been sitting for a while. 4/16/2025: Our waitress was rushing us and trying to kick us out faster? She was a bit aggressive too. I'm not sure why she was acting like that. 5/7/2022: The chicken tender cobb salad is to DIE for! I recommend coming here for the salad! Service was friendly and accommodating. Our serve Elaina was amazing and very friendly we had an excellent experience with her. We were so pleased with the service and food was delicious. Elaine went out of her to make it a pleasant experience after sharing our negative experience at a different location. If you visit this location definitely ask for Elaina. The manager on staff was really sweet and the team is definitely a great reflection of her.

I’ve been to multiple Black Bear Diners in Washington, Colorado, Idaho, and California and they’ve all been great except for the Suisun location. I took my 3yo daughter out for a celebration lunch on a Sunday afternoon and while we were seated quickly and everyone was very friendly I don’t think we’ll be returning. Our order was bright out incorrect and extremely overcooked, I never received the water I requested, was told they were out of Orange Juice but then saw several tables after us served orange juice, and my daughter was never offered her dessert that’s supposed to come with all kids
