We tried several of their food items and were a bit disappointed. Our conclusion was that their seafood is good (tried their battered fish, popcorn shrimp and butterfly shrimp)…but their fries, coleslaw, hush puppies were not the best. The lettuce in their fish sandwich was kinda sad:/

The store is nice and the staff is friendly. Anytime I am away from MD and in VA I always swing into a Captain D's and pick up some beer batter fish. I usually get 10 to 12 pieces, eat a piece or two in the car. I will take the rest home and put it in the air fryer to reheat and it tastes just as good and it was freshly made.

I visited Captain D’s on Prince Anne St in Fredericksburg, Virginia for lunch, and it was a great experience. The fish was cooked perfectly — hot, crispy, and full of flavor. But the real surprise was the corn… absolutely amazing! Sweet, fresh, and the perfect side with the meal. The food came out fast, the staff was friendly, and everything tasted fresh. Definitely a solid spot for a quick and satisfying seafood lunch. I’ll be coming back for sure!
