The appetizer cost $12 and consisted of only three small deep-fried meatballs, which seemed overpriced for what was served. Overall, while the service was great, I can’t really say this felt like a true Belgian dining experience.

I had the Steak Frites and egg. The steak was cooked perfectly and the fires are awesome. We also had the Dutch Bitterballen and the Croquettes de Fromaage.... Both we highly recommend. The drinks were great and the atmosphere is laid back but the setting feels special. We 100% recommend The Sovereign. It was a great meal.

Our party had the brioche French toast, the classic omelette (that was me, it was delicious!), a classic waffle, a shared charcuterie board and a classic Bloody Mary (me, so good! Strong horseradish, loved it), mimosas and absinthe. The Absinthe service was well presented and its always fun to watch. The service, on the whole, was fantastic.
