Team Cahill★★★★★Absolutely fantastic spot for German food. Located in an old train station, the setting adds a ton of character. The portions are huge—you definitely won’t leave hungry. Everything was packed with flavor and tasted authentic. The Alpine-style atmosphere makes it even better. If you’re into hearty, traditional German food, this place is a must.
Justin Shanghai★★★★★Authentic German restaurant. Very strong flavors. Everything on the menu is authentic and traditional, even the beers! The drinks were amazing! And heavy on the alcohol. The bar and the dining area are covered in authentic German art. Perfect atmosphere for a date night. The only downside for me was the main course, but only because the flavor of mustard was too strong on my dish. My husband had a steak with onion straws on top and it was wonderful. A little over cooked, more medium vs medium rare but juicy and tender and full of flavor. We also had the potato pancakes, green beans, white asparagus and whipped potatoes. Zero complaints. I was also craving an old fashioned which w
Cruisinforfulltime★★★A bit disappointing. We drove over an hour from Maryland to eat here. The food was overpriced for the quality delivered. The decor was pretty basic - a few flags and pictures. The best part of the building was its reuse of an older train station. The main dining room is the old waiting room. The bathrooms have a lot of original tile work. There is another German restaurant in the area that we want to try if we go to Fredericksburg again. The beer was VERY overpriced @ $11 for a 0.3l Hefeweizen that you can get on tap lots of places (ie not hard to find) and $18 for a Radler (1/2 beer 1/2 l
