I used to come here often for breakfast, so when my boyfriend and I were in DTF checking out a viral matcha coffee shop, I thought, why not stop by and give this place another try? Unfortunately, I left pretty disappointed. This cafe sits on the corner of a historic 1920’s building that once housed the Rialto Theater, which makes it a charming spot. But the charm ended there. Despite the half-hour wait (understandable since the space is small), the food was just not it. Everything we ordered looked unappetizing and tasted bland. What happened here?? First time coming here and we absolutely loved it. The staff is super nice, very hospitable and helpful. We loved how the waiter took time to go over some of their dishes and didn't seem bothered to have to do so. We got two coffees, yes they offer refills, the eggs benedict, which are to die for, and the breakfast panini, also fantastic, and we shared the French toast.The french toast was amazing, not super sweet and pretty light. I met my friends at 10 a.m. and had brunch at Rialto. Actually, I don't really like burritos, but it was the best restaurant in my life. It was so delicious and all the other foods were carefully prepared without sparing any ingredients. It was really delicious and the staff kept refilling the coffee. My sister had previously gone here and recommended this place to me. I chose to have the eggs Benedict with the loaded potatoes (bell peppers). My sister got the breakfast panini (cheese, avocado, egg, bacon). I personally loved my eggs Benedict. They weren’t the best I’ve ever had but they were good! My sister on the other hand didn’t enjoy her panini. “I thought the eggs could have used a bit more salt. It could have used a bit more flavor. And they need more choices for coffee”.
