As a local, haven't been here in a few years. Decided to get a burger and was highly impressed. Definitely old school burger, meat was seasoned well. Better service than my experience some years ago. Wish the speaker system would be upgraded but that may add to the "old school vibe" nostalgia. I can understand.

I love sandwich inn but the service has gone way down hill. Plan on a long wait, they aren’t even using the speakers to take orders so you have to wait for them to fully cook the order of the person in front of you before you can even place your order at the window. The food is not good enough for me to sit in the drive through for 20 minutes, maybe if the service improves I’ll start eating here again.

A wonderful place to get just about the cheapest breakfast/lunch you can find in town. "Gainesville's oldest restaurant" has a great egg and cheese to start your day. The left drive thru lane was slower than the right side, but I believe this was because the microphone was broken. Staff made me feel like family and I'm looking forward to going back many more times.

Well, today I went way out of my way, but I was going to Sandwich Inn for breakfast. I just love the " real (not microwaved)" crispy bacon. I often use the STEAK biscuit for bribery. I've been going there since the 70s and 80s. Great fries too! The staff are super friendly too! The same loyal employees have been there for years. Catch them while they're open.
