A Fall/Winter MUST!! Fujiya Ramen in Montclair is an absolute gem! There’s easy parking in the garage right behind the restaurant, which is a huge plus. I got the vegetarian ramen and it was phenomenal — my mouth literally watered after the first bite. The broth was rich and flavorful, and everything tasted so fresh. It’s super affordable, and I love that they offer punch cards for discounts too. Definitely my new go-to ramen spot!

I don’t even know where to start with this one. It was Easter. Raining. Cold. My daughter, my boyfriend and I had driven over an hour and were standing outside realizing Fujiya was closed. We were exhausted, hungry, and honestly just defeated by the day. And then the door unlocked. A girl inside saw us standing there and just — let us in. This place is legit! I get takeout from here often and have dined in a handful of times, and I’m always impressed by this place. The food is authentic and made in-house, all the ingredients are fresh and what I love most is the open kitchen as you can see them preparing your food in the back. Whether you are dining in or taking out, I recommend this place for some delicious ramen, authentic katsu and curry, and tasty appetizers and drinks.
