Excellent service, superb food, noisy ambience. We had Brussels for a shareable starter, topped with earnestness they were outstanding. For entrees we had Salmon with spinach and roasted tomatoes which was absolutely delicious, needed just a touch of salt. And roasted chicken on polenta with baby carrots and potatoes. We followed that with some Gelato and pecan banana bread brownie that was to die for. We also had a margarita and a bourbon.

My son and I ate here as our first meal in DC (for breakfast) in a couple of years and certainly got sticker shock and wrote it off as an overpriced hotel…but after venturing out into town I don’t see the prices as that bad 😢 the service was pretty attentive. We shared the cheeseburger and the turkey sandwich. I ordered the burger medium rare and it most definitely came out at the opposite of that 😬 it was good but not great. During my stay, our dining experience here was consistently disappointing and ultimately unacceptable. For convenience, I actually ate here three out of the five nights of my stay, giving the restaurant multiple opportunities to improve — unfortunately, the issues continued each time. First night, raw burger that was cold inside, breakfast in the morning was a fully great (avocado toast and fruit) but the bread was so thick and crusty I couldn’t cut it without a steak knife and no one ever came back to the table so I had to manage without one (it was not easy lol). Went to the Edgar Bar & Kitchen for dinner while in town, and I had a great experience. Ordered the new clam chowder, and it was delicious. The atmosphere is tranquil and welcoming, and the entire staff is very friendly and goes above and beyond to make you feel at home. Meron was my server, and she did a wonderful job. Five Stars and recommend to all who are in town.
