Really festive, fun, and casual atmosphere. The decor is modern without feeling sparse, a good blend of Mexican inspired and modern designs; plus the music choice was good, I think 70s hits, and not too loud. The food is REALLY good. The bowls have a lot of toppings; at first it was a little hard to find the rice underneath, but that’s a sign that they’re not stingy. The price was worth it! Super flavorful, healthy not heavy.

I absolutely adore this location! The arroz con pollo is so bomb! They have tasty lemonade, cookies and yummy tacos and burritos. They offer a 10% discount to guests of the Downtown Marriott Hotel across the street. The customer service is excellent. You will feel very welcome and right at home. And it’s all because of their manager, Bruce. He is a breath of fresh air, Darling! Try this place out next time you are in the area and make sure to tell Bruce that Keisha sent you & he will go above and beyond to make sure you are taken care of! 🌍…. ⭐️

Visited first time May 2026. Visitor to Hartford, CT. One of the reviews below from 7y ago comments that the cost was $12-15 for lunch here. My satisfying bowl today cost $16. Considering inflation and shrinkflation happening everywhere, I think El Pollo Guapo was a fantastic deal. The staff filled my vegan bowl chock full, that I have been able to eat my bowl for 2 meals. Compared to other bigger cities I've been to that charge $20 for about four-bites worth of food that is presented in a half-empty, sad-looking bowl, again El Pollo Guapo stands out here. The bowls don't let you walk out
