Complimentary focaccia bread and spread - delicious. Love the spread Beef Carpaccio- it was alright. Pasta Bolognese- our friend loved it. Butternut squash ravioli with brown butter sage - our vegetarian friend loved it. Fruiti Di Mare - a brothy noodle dish, reminded me of Bouillabaisse. I like it but my husband prefers a thicker sauce. It contained mostly mollusks, squids and shrimps I didn’t see any fishes at all. The shrimps and squids were overcooked, dried and tough. It’s a no no for me. Desserts: Cheesecake- not bad Chocolate Lava cake - not bad Bread pudding with Rum and Rais

The food is okay. The bread that comes with the table is soft but the sauce isn’t anything special. The garlic bread’s toppings taste the same as little Caesar’s crazy bread. Whether that’s good or not you can decide. Maybe an off day but my risotto was overcooked akin to a tomato porridge. Otherwise the risotto tasted okay but the texture was off. The lamb is flavorful, the wine comes out clearly in the sauce. Most dishes were just okay tasting, service was also okay, at least you can get fresh shredded Parmesan and ground pepper.

My parents and I decided to go to Buon Appetito for my dad's birthday and it's one of the best Italian restaurants in Hayward. Pretty well setup inside especially with how utensils, glasses, napkins, and plates are organized. It also looks nice inside especially at a larger dining area where there weren't anyone there when I got here. They also have a patio too, but no one goes outside since it's cold now. The food is really delicious here. We were given normal sized plates and I'm surprised that the food seems small from the outside but volume of it says otherwise. It could be the ingredient

Today I had a rough day so I decided I’d go out to eat, on a sorrowful empty and exhausted stomach. I was revived by Haywards Buon Appetito. This Italian restaurant exhibited every ideal trait I can name. The food was made timely, the restaurants interior lobby drowning in the feeling of home and Italy, music perfectly somber and guests respectful, not loud and obnoxious. The man next to me left a $40 tip for a $20 meal. As it should be for places of this personality. The team only talked to me when I needed, otherwise leaving me alone to soak in the flavors of my youth. Pasta 10/10 replacing
