Visited this spot and ordered a side salad… and it was literally just lettuce. No toppings, no extras, just straight greens. I’m guessing this is more of a gluten-free, clean-eating type of place, but I was definitely expecting a little more. The vibe is nice, though. It has a calm, simple atmosphere if you’re just trying to sit and relax. Overall, it’s cool depending on what you’re looking for, but just know the food is very minimal. Not a critic, just sharing how it felt.

Let’s begin this elite review. :D The Source Cafe (est 2017) is a popular and fun little breakfast spot right on Pier Avenue in Hermosa Beach. The Source is a locals' favorite because the food, drinks, and service are amazing and they have healthy options and juices for the active, healthy Hermosa crowd. The salads and sandwiches are a delicious and their avocado toast is a fan favorite. Great local spot. Super cute area right in the center of Hermosa Beach. With plenty of restaurants to choose from in the area, we were happy to have stumbled upon The Source. We were warmly welcomed and greeted with a display of all their homemade desserts and pastries. Their colorful smoothies, juices, elixirs, and shots were so inviting and too hard to turn down. We tried the Beets drink and the Blue Majik smoothie. They were delicious. To eat we had paninis and avocado toast. Everything locally sourced and good for you.
