Arrived from the airport pretty late, so I rushed over to Hugh's to grab a quick bite before they closed. I walked in around 30 minutes before close, and they seemed happy to have me there. The service was top notch, the bartender helped me navigate the menu and order some of her favorites. I wanted to try as many things as I could, so I had the three meat platter with brisket, turkey, and pulled pork. It was all excellent! The creamed corn was some of the best I've ever had. I knew I was in the right place when I saw an active smoker at work outside. Hugh's Q serves up top notch BBQ. The meats are richly smoked and delicious, even without barbecue sauce. The sides are delicious as well. I chose a two meat platter and upgraded one of the meats to smoked turkey. One of my sides was cheesy grits with jalapeno. I couldn't be happier with what I was served. My other side was white coleslaw. It was excellent as well. The service was great! Our server was personable, friendly, helpful and efficient. The Dr. Pepper cake for dessert was a perfect ending of today's lunch

First off let me say RRUUUUNNN DON'T WALK!!!!! Me & my boyfriend just went here for the first time tonight 4/25 & the food is ABSOLUTELY DELICIOUS 😋.. I ordered the 3 combo plate with marbled brisket & the turkey with Mac, potato salad & the jalapeno cornbread. They give you A LOT OF FOOD!!! We ordered to go & my plate was HEAVY! My bf got the ribs with fried okra & sweet potato casserole. This is the best brisket I have had to date in my opinion. Super tender, moist, flavorful & generous portions. If you are looking for Texas brisket, your search is over -- it's right here! Hands down the best brisket we've had in NC. The brisket was cooked perfectly with a great smoke ring. It was moist & flavorful. What we couldn’t eat there made a great sandwich the next day. The turkey was also tasty, seasoned well, moist and smoked to perfection. Portion sizes were generous and the sides were pretty good. I had the white slaw which was sweet and tasty and the beans had a lot of flavor.
