After a recovery session at Sweatheory, I finally visited Groundwork Coffee, a spot I had seen but never tried. I was greeted immediately upon walking in. The Vietnamese iced coffee was incredible rich and strong, exactly what I needed to wake me up and fuel a productive Saturday study session. The space has a really open, inviting layout, perfect whether you are plugging away on your laptop or catching up with friends. The lighting is just right. Between the atmosphere and that coffee, I will definitely be back.

I honestly don’t know what the heck happened to Groundwork’s because I has changed so much from the time I used to frequent it to now. I used to live in Hollywood and this was my favorite coffee shop. They used to have good food, good vibes, and amazing coffee. Now, it’s not even anywhere near what it used to be. Chai used to be made there in powder and now, it tastes like basic syrup they probably bought. Their lattes just don’t taste like the good quality coffee they used to ahve and the chicken wrap that I got, was not worth the $15 I paid. Super dry chicken, with barely any of the caeser I

I want to start off by saying the breakfast was amazing. I got the daybreaker sandwich and it was by far the best breakfast I've had my whole trip. It was crispy, spicy, so much flavor. Amazing. Beyond that though, the coffee was okay. Not bad, but nothing outstanding. The biggest issue is had was the whole place had an off putting smell that really killed the vibe. The breakfast sandwich made up for it though.
