We are down from Ohio and we wanted to visit the aquarium on our last day here. So very glad we did! The aquarium was an absolutely amazing experience, and we went to the restaurant at the end. And the food was delicious!! We got the castaway combo for our appetizer. The hubby got the seafood stir fry and I got the shrimp scampi ravioli. The flavors were incredible and our experience was made so much better by our waiter, Oliver. He was very attentive and was very knowledgeable about the animals in the aquarium we were seated by. Hubby made reservations a couple of days ahead. We show up 10 mins ahead of time. They seat us by the windows. Let me remind you… this is an aquarium restaurant and we booked days in advance, so you’d think better seats maybe…? We get seated and we wait and wait and wait. 20 mins go by and no waiter. No drinks. No bread. No interaction. I finally grab a staff member walking by. She said she’ll have someone right over. We do finally get a super nice gentleman to help us. He was so kind! We had a great time at the Downtown Aquarium! The food was delicious, but the real highlight was our server. He was incredibly attentive, friendly, and brought such a great vibe to our table. Loved watching the fish while eating. Dined next to a 500 lb grouper. Also, stingrays, sharks, giant fish. .. discovered a new one, the guitar fish. So fun.
