Our first time visiting Houston and Taste Kitchen. All the food was good and had a lot of flavor . The service was good . We went on a Sat around 4 pm . They didn’t let us reserve a table ahead of time when we called in . So it was 45 min wait for a table and then another 20 min before the waiter came to our table . We will definitely visit again if we in town

Really great time for my first time at the restaurant!! I wasn't a fan of the gumbo. It didn't have a good flavor. I had the fried catfish sandwich with fried okra as my meal. This entree completely made up for the gumbo. The bun was soft, veggies fresh, catfish flaky, tartar sauce great!!! The fried okra was chef's kiss. It was well seasoned and the texture was perfect. I had a mocktail (can't remember the name) that was a mix of ginger beer, mango, and lime to go with the food. The drink was cute and refreshing! The whole experience was a 10/10. I will definitely come back to enjoy the food,

I never leave a review!! This place has my business.. I am newer to Houston and a friend came to visit for my birthday . I am soooo glad we went to this spot. Let me first say that our server Jeff gave the entire rundown on the menu🔥 had us ready to try every thing available😂 we ordered 2 jerk lamb chops and 2 original as appetizers during happy hour🤤 and baby I coulda got up and kissed the cook.. jerk 10/10 original 9.5/10 they were so flavorful and tender all the way through... my friend literally debated ordering more to take with her😭... the frozen watermelon dusse was great and I only

The food was very good especially the orange pepper wings recommended by DJ our server. The Mac and Cheese and greens were also on point. The real MVP was our server DJ. He was exceptional! He made recommendations, he was attentive, but not over bearing, and very polite and professional. We are coming back to try more options on the menu, but we will request to sit in DJ's section.
