CRAB PEARL!!!! My wife and I stopped in during our several day stay on Douglas Island. It was recommended by one of our tour guides as the best place for crab. Things are expensive everywhere, so prices here are on par with current prices. We ended up getting the special (mixed crab) and a bisque. All of it was delicious and The staff was kind and service promot. The weather was nice so we sat outside and had a great view of the water and watched Eagles fly around. Food was amazing. They have two locations: the main one and this one. When it isn’t raining out the view of the cove and mountains are beautiful. The crab was amazing, especially the bisque. I would recommending getting everything specifically the bisque and a crab leg. Overall I highly recommend to anyone in town.

It’s delicious just super pricey! But guess that’s just the price of Alaskan crab. The gold crab was so good, the red is very mediocre. But we got some special crab that was only around for 3 weeks and that was also very good. The bisque is delicious, crab cakes are mehhh.

So glad we stopped here!! We knew the one right off the cruise ship would be crowded, so we walked the 12 minutes to Shack #2. SOOOO glad we did! Slower pace, nice people, and a great view! We got to King Crab Special, crab bisque, and mini crab cakes. My only wish is that there was a sourdough bread bowl for the bisque. It was all FANTASTIC, all tasted fresh, and the best priced around to try the king crab.
