Saw this place as we were leaving the beach and decided to turn around. Oh my goodness this was the best place to stop! Open only a few months out of the year. The burgers were juicy with the best tasting cheese we on there we’ve ever had. Onion rings melted in our mouths. Cheese curds were great. Great amount of shrimp and fries in a basket. All of it was such a great snack after a Long Beach day.

Since moving to Kenosha, Big Star drive-in has been one of my new favorite additions to my diet. Only open March 1st to August 31st, I need a petition to keep it open at least until October 31st. The double cheeseburger is one of my favorites I have ever had. It’s small, but packs a punch in flavor. One bite and you are loaded with some melty cheese, two seasoned patties, ketchup and tiny pieces of onion. The cheese curds are so good too. Their root beer is delicious and refreshing. Decent prices. We thought the taste/quality of the burgers was a slightly below Culver's. Their double hamburger is more like a kids burger, but the price fits. If you want more meat, you need at least the quarter pound burger. The root beer float was really good.

I recommend the double cheeseburger. It's a steal! Fries were a hit with me and my mom - Crinkle cut, soft on the inside, salted to perfection! Our server was pleasant and the old school vibes are exactly right.
