Graeter's Ice Cream is something I have heard about from family members who live in the Dayton area. I had never tried it myself, but I got my chance on a recent visit to see my daughter at the University of Dayton. This Graeter's Ice Cream location is in nearby Oakwood, so it's only minutes away. We parked in front of the ice cream shop and made our way inside. My first impression was positive. The interior is larger than expected, with lots of seating. I came here on rec from friends who live in Dayton. I thought it was great! The servers were prompt and friendly, the ice cream was delicious, and the place was decorated with cute chairs and tables. I got the blue raspberry chocolate chip. It was delicious and had a good sprinkling of chocolate throughout. There was plenty of parking in the area, and it was easy to navigate there and leave the parking lot. Excellent ice cream, plain and simple. My favorite in the greater Dayton area, and excellent service to go with it! My favorite is their signature dish, the black raspberry chocolate chip, but truly you cannot go wrong. My friend got salted caramel and double chocolate chip which also was very good. A bit pricey, but well worth it. Highly recommend!
