After hearing so many recommendations from friends, we finally made our way out to Potchke Deli downtown for brunch. The interior is eclectic, cozy, and so cutely put together. The menu has a good amount of items listed without being overwhelming, and the food is seriously so good. We ordered the pastrami, egg, & cheese sandwich, potato blintz, and a chocolate babka. Everything was spectacular. The babkas (literally any flavor) are absolutely drool-worthy. A friend previously shared their cinnamon sugar babka and lemon curd babka with us, which only made us want to visit in person even more.

The line was out the door (apparently bcuz the Big Ear Music Festival) but we waited & it was well worth it! I had the potato crepes & my husband had the Reuben. The reuben was the best I ever had!!- but the sandwich is cut in half & 1/2 the sandwich had all the meat & the other half had all the sauerkraut, he didn't realize it until he ate the half with all the meat. He was a bit disappointed but still thought it was great. The drip coffee was the best he ever had. I got a shot of espresso & a latte- both really great!! I had an absolutely phenomenal experience at Potchke Deli in Knoxville, Tennessee. This Jewish deli is a hidden gem—every bite was a masterpiece. We had the most delicious lox bagel, paired perfectly with cream cheese and capers. The potato blintzes were out of this world, and we sipped on two perfect flat whites. The food, service, and atmosphere all deserve five stars. I can’t recommend Potchke enough—I’ll be back for sure!

In town for training and it was my last day in town. I attempted to catch Matt Robb’s for a biscuit but they sold out before I got there. Matt referred me here and I’m forever grateful. This was absolutely a worthy replacement for my missed blueberry biscuit! Potchke is such a gem! I ordered a lemon poppy babka and the lox bialy sandwich. I should have ordered it open faced because I definitely would have finished it. The capers and the crunch of the radish was such a perfect pairing with the lox. Wish I found this place sooner - I would have been here every day. Highly recommend.
