Loved our dinner at Antica Trattoria in La Mesa! Classic old Italy vibe with sweet, professional, and efficient service. We enjoyed the the saltimbocca, penne vodka with sausage, and homemade bread. The Moscow mule was very tasty. The patio is dog friendly. On a Friday night it can be crowded and have a 15 minute wait, reservations are available. Recommend!

Excellent service and good food. Surprisingly pricey. Even a surprise charge for the table bread. Over $50 per person without cocktails. Clean and interesting interior. Patio is plexiglass and right against the parking lot. The staff was attentive and cheerful. It was an enjoyable experience for everyone.

I’ve been to most of the great Italian spots in San Diego and Antica Trattoria holds its own without breaking a sweat. Food is incredible quality. Not a bad option on the menu. Our order: Arancini Frito misto Arugula salad Parpadelle Saltimbocca Tiramisu Chocolate lava cake Delicious. The quality was impeccable. Our server was Heather. She has the polish and experience that you’d expect from a Michelin star. Second to none experience all in all.

Service and atmosphere are great! The gnocchi is a big portion and was pillowy soft & smooth- I added a tad bit of lemon juice to elevate it. The lobster ravioli was fantastic but the pink sauce wasn’t as rich as I personally desire. The appetizers are small for their price point, such as the salad. The tiramisu is one of the best I’ve had in all of San Diego area!
