Our 1st visit was a Saturday night. I like good Mexican food, but my husband is not a fan. The Mang Agua Fresca was super fresh, refreshing and not too sweet. Comes in a huge glass I couldn't finish it but took it home. We were surprised by how much bigger and nicely decorated it is than it looks from outside. We sat in a booth near the windows and had to ask to move because a bunch of flies had set up residence there. The host apologized and moved us without any issues. We’ve eaten at Monarca in LaGrange, Georgia more than once now, and it continues to impress. Walking in, the atmosphere is warm and inviting. When we’ve been there for lunch, it’s had a more intimate, relaxed vibe, but you can tell this place could throw a great party too. It just has that kind of energy. The service is consistently kind and welcoming. My wife has some dietary restrictions, and the staff took the time to walk through options so she could order confidently. That level of care matters. My wife and I went here for Valentines Day lunch The food was great with no complaints. Only issue was the service. After receiving our food the waitresses never came back to check on us. Never received a refill on my sweat tea and had to wait 15 minutes to get my bill and a togo box. The restaurant was only average full. We had been a week earlier for dinner with the restaurant was full with no issues. I give it a thumbs up as every place has issues and don't judge by one visit.
