Tried this Lake Charles gem today. It definitely lived up to the hype. The ambience was relaxed and laid back, despite being busy. Our service was excellent. The server was sweet and attentive. I had the Darrell's Special with jalapeño mayo. I don't even like mayo, but it was delicious! I have never had gravy on a sandwich before either. Amazing! The bread was crunchy on the outside and tasted so fresh. It's the type of sandwich you eat after a long day of swimming. So satisfying. Will definitely return!

Nice staff very busy. Had great food that came out really quick. Specialize in pi boys. Good food for a good deal. Does get packed and a bit loud. Highly recommend stopping if you pass by.

I was craving a Darrel's Special since I moved back to the area and finally got one yesterday. The service was great. The food was great. The atmosphere is a little to loud for me but that's just because I am older now. Nothing against the establishment.

The server was great. However, the food was terrible. We got the Surf and Turf po-boy and the bread was so hard and chewy, like it had been in the microwave too long. The fillings were minimal for a po-boy. I have been here before, several years ago, and I can honestly say that the quality has gone downhill drastically. Will not go back. None in our party enjoyed their food, so disappointment from all compared to past visits.
