This place gets it right. I ordered the double-patty hamburger and fries, and it was excellent. Burger arrived hot off the grill with two flavorful patties, lettuce, tomato, pickles, and onion, which were cold and fresh, exactly the contrast you want. The bun was soft and fresh but sturdy. Fries were hot and crispy. The standout surprise was the corn dog, with an amazing housemade batter that is light and crisp on the outside and tender on the inside. Everything tasted made-to-order. Highly recommend.

What a quaint, exceptionally clean hamburger joint! They offer homemade burgers, steak fingers and onion rings which were all very delicious. The lady at the counter (I missed her name. I think it was Carrie?) was super sweet and very helpful since this was our first visit here. The restaurant has a nostalgic vibe from the 50s era. They have posters documenting the history of the restaurant as well as the Lake Jackson community through the years. We found the restaurant delightful in every way. We look forward to stopping again when we’re in town.

Went in with no expectations, and glad I did. The customer service was great. The ice cream is top tier. The chicken tenders and fries were really good. A bit salty but still good. 2 of my tenders were over cooked but by the time I finished my ice cream and fries I didn't care. Prices aren't bad either. Highly recommended.

This place bleeds excellence! I got the double jalapeño cheeseburger. I subbed the American cheese for pepper jack and I added bacon with a side of potato wedges. The man at the counter was very patient with me. He explained that it’s all ground beef in house and that particular building has been around since I think he said 1954. I enjoyed what I had let me tell you flavor explosion all up in your mouth.
