During the Mid Michigan Women’s Expo in Lansing, my husband and I discovered a little gem — Batter Up — and it truly became part of our expo experience. I have mixed feelings about my experience here. On one view, the staff was very polite, my coffee was excellent, and the general atmosphere was aesthetically pleasing. The drinks menu was extensive. On the other hand, the food menu was limited and there was at least five tables with no one at them uncleared of their dirty dishes for over 20 minutes when we first arrived. Also, the bathroom door also gives pause, as it’s a semi-frosted glass pane version, which at first gives you the feeling someone can peek in. We lucked out driving from Grand Rapids back home. Stopped for breakfast. Parking was way public and next to the restaurant with a level 1 charger for free for 30 min. We are trying to eat healthier. We spilt a veggie omelette and swapped potatoes for berries. It was all super fresh, flavorful, filling and delicious. Veggies were cooked perfectly, berries fresh, omlette fluffy and the fresh bread was a treat!
