BUGS EVERYWHERE!!! BEWARE!!! The first thing we noticed when we sat down was the number of bugs. Dozens of gnats flying around and landing near our food while we were trying to eat. The restaurant felt dirty and poorly maintained. Unfortunately, the customer service was even worse. We spent over $75 feeding our family of 4. My son took one bite of his hamburger and didn’t like it, so we politely asked if it could be swapped for chicken strips. Manager Danica refused. She then took the hamburger and tater tots that we had already paid for, threw them away, and still refused to replace them with anything or provide us a refund at all!! $15 straight into the trash, and I was still left with a child I needed to feed. Between the unsanitary conditions and Danica’s complete lack of customer service, this was one of the worst dining experiences I’ve had. We will not be coming back. And unless you want a side of flies with your food, I suggest you bring your business elsewhere.

First time here and could’ve been just an off day. I ordered the fried chicken sandwich and honestly can say it’s super dry not very flavorful sort of small actually in terms of size and I would say not even as good as Chick-fil-A or Popeyes to be honest, maybe it is better just not today. Look at the pictures and you can see how dry the meat is just not tender, I don’t return food because I don’t waste it so I just ate it and oh well I gave it a shot. If the food isn’t really that good then it’s probably just the fact that it’s a cool little place that has cool decor. Nice space service friendly that goes along ways with ratings.

Joe Schmoe's is one of the most unique restaurants in our area. I originally came here for their frozen custard which is so good you'd think it's illegal. Over the years pretty much everything on their menu has become my favorite. Their fried chicken is out of this world. Love this place, can't wait for the next time I get to visit.

Rating just for the frozen custard. Points for hand scooped instead of soft serve. The single scoops are pretty large. Both the vanilla and chocolate were icy. Maybe they weren’t super fresh, and got icy waiting for someone to order it? Tasted better once it warmed up a bit. We got plastic soup type spoons (with deep bowls), which made eating the frozen custard harder. Great tasting custard though. Great atmospheric place, looks like it’d be fun on a weekend.

My experience dates back some 60 years when this same building was the Tastee Freeze. While I knew it was gone, and I had no idea what would be in its place, the center has changed enough that I would've figured the building would have been demolished and a new one in its place put up. So, Kudos for retaining a bit of Cypress history.

I ordered a Nashville Hot Chicken sandwich (medium-spice level) with a side order of onion rings and a frozen custard shake (peanut butter). The meal and the drink were great! The service was relatively quick and the customer service staff were nice and pleasant. I look forward to going again and ordering a 1/2 BBQ chicken.
